Lokesh Chandra Das stuffed Tamara Farha Abraham's body in the refrigerator after failing to hack it into pieces An Israeli woman who went to India to learn yoga was allegedly murdered by her Indian lover, a yoga instructor, who kept the body hidden for 18 days in a refrigerator. The accused, 31-year-old Lokesh Chandra Das has confessed to the crime. Initial investigations revealed that Chandra met 28-year-old Tamara Farha Abraham during a yoga camp at Rishikesh in 2007 and their friendship blossomed into a relationship. Lokesh, however married another woman, Jyothi Vaidyanathan in December 2007 and this angered Tamara. On March 15, 2011, Tamara arrived in the South Indian state of Bangalore to meet Chandra. He reportedly took her home and introduced her to his pregnant wife as a friend. A month later, on April 15, it is alleged that Tamara barged into the bathroom where Jyothi was bathing and poured hot water on her. This angered Chandra who picked up a PVC water pipe and hit her on the head killing her on the spot. The next day, on April 16, Chandra went to a mall and bought a double-door fridge and allegedly stuffed the body in the refrigerator after failing to hack it into pieces. Tamara was in India on a tourist visa, valid till August 11. Chandra, a Bachelor of Technology graduate, is a full-time yoga trainer. Source: emirates247.com |
